Do I need to know where to put the files on my Mac® computer? No, the software will transfer the files to the Mac and put them in the correct place so that they will appear automatically when you open the applications associated with the files.

Will all my files automatically populate into the different applications, i.e., iPhoto®, iTunes®, address book? Your files should populate automatically into their default applications. When the transfer is complete, open your applications to see your files. You should not need to restart your computer.

iCal®, Mail, and Address Book will ask for your permission to import items.

Where can I find the files I have transferred? The easiest way to find your files is to open them in their default Mac applications. However, you can also navigate to them on the Mac in the Finder:

Can I use the Cable to sync my Mac and PC? No, the Cable only lets you transfer files from a PC to a Mac, not from a Mac to a PC. Synching files implies that the latest version of a file is present on both computers and requires frequent syncing. This Cable was designed to work best with one-time transfers.

Can I use my computer (either PC or Mac) while the transfer is taking place? To ensure a successful transfer, do not use your Mac or PC during the transfer. If you have a file open, it may not transfer properly.
